Levant Heights – Single Pot Still – Malted Maize is a bold expression of Lebanese craftsmanship, born in the rugged landscapes of Mount Lebanon and nurtured by eight generations of expertise at the Riachi Distillery. This release pays homage to the maize-producing town of “King’s Tower” in Mrjeyoun, celebrating the diversity of Lebanon’s terroir.
Crafted from a mash bill of locally sourced, floor-malted Lebanese maize, each batch is double distilled in copper pot goose-neck stills and matured for a minimum of three years in new charred American oak barrels. The result is a whisky that both honors tradition and pushes boundaries.
On the nose, aromas of moist sponge cake intertwine with delicate notes of vanilla, caramel, pipe tobacco, and a whisper of musk. The palate reveals a creamy texture layered with smoky barbecue richness, indulgent chocolate bourbon truffles, and sun-dried fruits—culminating in a deeply expressive, sensory journey.
