Arak Fakra Diamond represents the “Hors d’Age” (beyond age) excellence of Chateau Fakra, a distillery with roots reaching back to the early 18th century. Inspired by the Roman ruins of the Fakra mountain site, this Diamond edition is crafted for those who demand the finest expression of Lebanon’s national drink.
The Rare Ingredients: The secret of this Diamond edition lies in its base distilled from wild, sun-drenched Merwah grapes and the highest-grade Hina aniseed. The use of pure spring water from “Nabea el Assal” (the spring of honey) ensures a clean, delicate mouthfeel.
The Seven-Year Journey: While standard araks are often aged for one to two years, the Diamond edition is matured for seven years in traditional baked clay jars from Beit-Chabab. This extensive aging allows the spirit to breathe and lose its “fire,” resulting in a roundness and aromatic bloom that is second to none.
Tasting Profile:
Nose: Rich and aromatic with immediate bursts of aniseed, followed by subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs and mountain spices.
