Description
The Syrah du Liban is a single-varietal wine made from 100% Syrah grapes grown in the Western Bekaa region of Lebanon at an altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level.
The vines used for this wine are 20-25 years old and are grown at a density of 3,500 vines per hectare in gravelous soil with clay subsoils, and they are dry farmed.
The grapes are harvested by hand in boxes and undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats for 10 days.
The wine is then aged in all new American oak barrels for 24 months, allowing the wine to develop a deep and complex flavor profile.
The alcohol strength of the wine is 14% vol.
