Description
Levant Heights – Black Peak Bonfires – Heavily Peated Single Malt Whisky is a bold expression of Lebanese craft whisky, meticulously produced in the heart of Mount Lebanon by Riachi Distillery. Drawing on eight generations of expertise, this release embodies the spirit of rebellion and tradition.
Paying tribute to Lebanon’s highest mountain peak, The Black Peak in the Cedar Mountains, this whisky captures its rugged and uncompromising character. Crafted from a blend of Scottish peated malted barley and locally sourced sun-dried malted barley, the mash undergoes a unique cold-smoking process with Lebanese peat, then double distilled in copper pot gooseneck stills and matured for a minimum of five years in new charred American oak barrels.
On the nose, experience evocative aromas of bonfires, damp embers, smoked cured meats, caramel, and cinnamon. The palate reveals layers of iodine, seaweed, earthy undertones, oakwood spice, cigar box, and tobacco leaf, balanced with subtle caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and dried fruit. The finish is warm, lingering, and deeply evocative of evenings spent by the fire.
Levant Heights Black Peak Bonfires is a testament to Lebanon’s boldest and smokiest whisky craftsmanship, delivering an unforgettable sensory journey in every sip.
