The 2022 El Ixsir White is a sophisticated expression of Lebanon’s unique mountain terroir, sourced from the stony, lime-marl and clay soils of Niha and Kab Elias. This vintage masterfully pairs the floral elegance of Viognier with the structured body of Chardonnay. On the nose, it opens with an intense tropical bouquet of passion fruit and sun-ripened yellow peach.
The palate is defined by a striking tension; a subtle salinity leads into a wave of crisp acidity that keeps the wine fresh and exciting. Having spent 12 months maturing in French oak barrels, it possesses a refined depth and a promising structure that will continue to improve with cellar time.
