Description
Named after the Welshman thought to be Kentucky’s first commercial distiller back in 1783 the Evan Williams range is made by Heaven Hill Brands who are the largest independent family-owned and operated distiller in the USA.
Evan Williams is the second largest selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon in the world known and loved for its rich mellow flavour profile. Heaven Hill Distillers was founded by the Shapira brothers at the end of prohibition when members of the Beam family approached them with a proposal to build a new whiskey distillery. To this day Heaven Hill is owned and operated by the Shapira family with Parker & Craig Beam in charge of whiskey making.
Including their flagship brands Evan Williams Bourbon and Rittenhouse Rye Heaven Hill make a wider range of American whiskey styles than any other major producer and also make more ‘Bottled in Bond’ whiskies than any producer.
