Description
The vineyards are located in the Western Bekaa region of Lebanon at a high altitude of 1,050m above sea level.
The blend of Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan grapes from 15 to 20-year-old vines, grown in sandy limestone soils with clay subsoils and dry-farmed, produces a wine that reflects the unique terroir of the region.
The grapes are harvested by hand with intensive selection in the vineyards and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats for 10 days.
The malo-lactic fermentation is spontaneous, and the wine is blended and aged in concrete vats.
The resulting wine is 14.5% vol. alcohol strength and is a true expression of the Bekaa Valley, with ripe dark fruit flavors balanced by a vibrant, juicy core that reflects the hot, dry days and cool nights of the region.
Overall, it is a delicious and intriguing wine that showcases the unique character of Lebanese winemaking.
