Description

Elevate your collection with Athyr Oak & Vine, a groundbreaking expression from the historic Riachi Winery & Distillery in Khenchara, Lebanon. This ultra-rare Lebanese single malt represents the pinnacle of experimental Mediterranean distilling, seamlessly blending ancient traditions with modern craftsmanship.
The Craftsmanship & Dual-Maturation Journey
Every drop of Athyr Oak & Vine tells a story of patience and terroir:
  • The Foundation: Crafted from premium malted barley and double-distilled in a century-old copper pot goose-neck still.
  • The Amphora & Native Oak (6 Years): The spirit spends its first six years maturing inside traditional clay amphorae infused with staves of native Lebanese oak (Quercus libani), imparting a distinct, earthy structure.
  • The Wine Cask Finish (3 Years): The whisky is then transferred to hand-selected, vintage Cabernet Sauvignon red wine barrels for an additional three years, absorbing rich, jammy fruit characteristics.
Tasting Profile
Bottled at a robust cask strength of 52.3% ABV, Athyr Oak & Vine delivers an uncompromised, texturized sensory experience. The nose opens with aromas of stewed dark berries, vanilla, and toasted wood. On the palate, a velvety layer of black currant and dark chocolate balances beautifully against the bold, spicy tannins of Lebanese oak, leading into a long, warming, and sophisticated finish.
A Collector’s Holy Grail
With only 123 serial-numbered bottles ever produced in its initial run, this is more than a premium spirit—it is a piece of Lebanese distilling history. Perfect for connoisseurs seeking an extraordinary, terroir-driven single malt.
