Description
The 2021 Altitudes Ixsir Red is a striking assembly of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Caladoc, and Tempranillo, sourced from a diverse range of high-altitude plots including Kfifane, Jezzine, and Bechouat. This vintage opens with an indulgent, almost dessert-like bouquet, bursting with the aroma of ripe mulberries.
On the palate, the wine is imposing and full of personality, driven by the immediate and spicy presence of Syrah. Despite its bold structure and vibrant liveliness, it maintains a graceful length that never feels heavy, ensuring it remains incredibly easy to drink. Six months of partial aging in French oak barrels has added just enough touch of refinement to its clay and limestone origins. While it drinks beautifully now, further aging will only enhance its impressive depth and richness. It is a perfect match for flavorful roasted red meats, such as succulent lamb, duck, or beef.
