Hokkaido is the second largest of the four main islands of the archipelago, but the second least populated. It lies to the north of the island of Honshu, from which it is separated by the Tsugaru Strait. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Sea of Japan to the west and the Sea of Okhotsk to the north. In the Meiji era (1868-1912) the island took its current name: Hokkaido, meaning ‘the way to the North Sea’. The distillation process is the classic recipe, where the botanicals undergo a maceration of more than one day. The production process ends with dilution with water from the mountain spring and seawater from the Sea of Japan.<\/p>\n

-Colour: It has a crystal clear colour.<\/p>\n
-Aroma: The nose perceives extremely fresh citrus and balsamic notes of juniper followed by iodine notes typical of the Sea of Japan.<\/p>\n
-Taste: In the mouth the iodine is well balanced with yuzu and a soft, silky and rounded finish.<\/p>\n
